Petition to the United Nations, Human Rights Organizations, and the International Community

Dear Secretary-General Guterres,
Dear Representatives of Human Rights Organizations,
Dear Members of the International Community,

We have previously informed you about the atrocities committed by Pakistani dictators and generals involved in murder and war crimes. Unfortunately, these individuals have not yet been held accountable. It raises the urgent question of why these mentioned individuals continue to evade punishment and remain protected.

The oppression, human rights violations, and the enforced disappearances in Balochistan and Pashtunkhwa persist unabated, as evidenced by the following media reports:

• VOA-Deewa, Report of April 2, 2024:
  Nasruallah Baloch, head of the organization "Voice for Baloch Missing Persons," stated that they are forced to protest in front of public assembly buildings to draw attention to the enforced disappearances.

• BBC Pashto, Report of April 3, 2024:
  Six judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan have filed a complaint with the Judicial Council, condemning the interference of the Pakistani military intelligence agency ISI in judicial matters. The judges were intimidated by threatening letters, which included threats of kidnapping and torturing their relatives. Additionally, hidden cameras were installed in their homes to monitor their privacy. Some judges also received letters contaminated with chemical substances that could potentially cause severe illnesses.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of April 23, 2024:
  A report published by the U.S. Department of State on April 22, 2024, accuses Pakistan of numerous human rights violations, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, inhumane practices by the government, arbitrary and political arrests, restrictions on press freedom, violence against journalists, and their arrest and disappearance. The report also highlights internet censorship, suppression of peaceful assemblies, and cases of rape.

• BBC Pashto, Report of May 4, 2024:
  In the Chaman region, Balochistan, people held a protest to demand their rights. Pakistani security forces used tear gas, burned the protesters' tents, and opened fire on the participants. Four people were killed and up to 40 others were injured.

• BBC Pashto, Report of June 5, 2024:
  The leaders of the protest in Chaman, Balochistan, were arrested after their tents were burned down again. The security forces used tear gas and blocked the internet in Chaman. They fired on the demonstrators, resulting in 30 injuries.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of June 14, 2024:
  Ms. Mahrang Baloch, a human rights activist and head of the Baloch Unity Committee, stated that more than 100 people went missing in May 2024 alone. She emphasized that there is no region in Balochistan where people have not disappeared.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of June 18, 2024:
  In Quetta, Balochistan, the organization "Voice for Missing Baloch" held a protest. Women, children, and civilian activists participated in the demonstration.

• Media Reports from July 7 to July 11, 2024:
  Mr. Gilaman Wazir, a civilian activist and member of the PTM movement, was injured on July 7, 2024, in Islamabad when he was struck on the head with a baton. He died as a result of these injuries on July 10, 2024.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of July 11, 2024:
  The Pakistani police used tear gas against demonstrators in Quetta, Balochistan, arrested several Baloch women, and beat them.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of July 19, 2024:
  According to a human rights organization, protesters in District Bannu, Pashtunkhwa, who were demonstrating for their rights, were shot at. At least five protesters were killed, and up to 20 others were injured.

• Amnesty International, Media Report of July 20, 2024:
  Amnesty International condemned the Pakistani military for shooting at peaceful demonstrators in Bannu District, Pashtunkhwa, on July 19, 2024.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of July 28, 2024:
  People from Balochistan were on their way to Gwadar to attend a protest against the enforced disappearances. In the Mestong area, shots were fired at the demonstrators to prevent them from reaching Gwadar. Fourteen people were injured. The Pakistani military and police blocked the roads to Gwadar and arrested more than 200 demonstrators.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of July 30, 2024:
  Ms. Mahrang Baloch, a human rights activist and head of the Baloch Unity Committee, reported that over 1,000 activists were arrested in the past four days.

• BBC Pashto, Report of August 2, 2024:
  The Pakistani police arrested Mr. Ali Wazir, a civilian activist and member of the PTM movement. Mr. Wazir stated that the reason for his arrest was his public condemnation of the oppression by the Pakistani government.

• VOA-Pashto, Report of August 22, 2024:
  In District Bannu, Pashtunkhwa, Mr. Dr. Noor Mohammad, a member of the PTM movement, was shot dead on August 21, 2024. For years, targeted killings have been carried out in Pashtunkhwa, particularly in the Waziristan region, where representatives, civilian activists, politicians, and others are being killed.

• BBC Pashto, Report of August 25, 2024:
  Civil activist and leader of the PTM movement, Mr. Manzoor Pashteen, was issued a 90-day travel ban to Balochistan to prevent him from organizing peaceful gatherings.

• VOA-Pashto, Report of August 30, 2024:
  Human rights activists report that the enforced disappearances in Balochistan continue. Many families do not know whether their missing relatives are still alive.

• VOA-Deewa, Report of September 8, 2024:
  In Waziristan, Pashtunkhwa, the car of tribal leader Mr. Jamil was hit by a bomb explosion. His son Shamsuddin was killed in the blast, while Mr. Jamil and four others were injured.

The number of missing persons in Balochistan is estimated to exceed 80,000. In light of the above facts, we urgently call on you to clarify the fate of these individuals and to hold accountable the responsible dictators and the generals involved in murder and war crimes in Pakistan.

Balochistan and Pashtunkhwa are our territories. Pakistan must return these areas to us. We will never allow our people in Balochistan and Pashtunkhwa to continue suffering under the oppression and atrocities committed by Pakistani dictators and generals involved in war crimes.
